Onboarding Wizard

A step-by-step walkthrough of the new-organization wizard — profile, theme, organization, clubs, and team invites.

The first time you sign in to a fresh account, OnCloudWine drops you into the onboarding wizard. It captures the minimum information needed to make the dashboard useful on day one — you can change any of it later from settings.

What the wizard captures

Onboarding

A linear, multi-step wizard. Skip any optional step with the link in the bottom corner.

  1. Profile

    Your name, profile image, and time zone. The image shows in your team members list and the header avatar.

  2. Theme preference

    Light or dark. Affects only your account — every teammate picks their own.

  3. Organization details

    Organization name, slug, and time zone. The slug becomes part of your dashboard URL (/organizations/your-slug) and your default portal domain (your-slug.oncloudwine.com).

  4. Clubs

    At least one club is required. Each contact you import or add later will be assigned to one or more clubs.

  5. Team invites

    Email invitations to teammates with a Member or Admin role. Optional — you can invite people any time from settings.

Walkthrough

  1. Profile

    Use the same name and image that members will see in your transactional emails. The time zone you pick here is your user time zone — useful for timestamps in tasks and notifications.

  2. Theme

    Pick whichever theme you prefer. You can switch any time using the theme toggle in the dashboard footer or via ⌘K → "Toggle theme".

  3. Organization

    Choose a name your team will recognize. The slug is auto-generated but editable — keep it short and stable; changing it later breaks any links you or members have bookmarked.

  4. Clubs

    Most wineries start with one or two clubs (e.g. "Red Club", "Mixed Club"). For each, pick a name and a default frequency. You can add more clubs and set up signup pages later under Settings → Organization → Clubs.

  5. Team invites (optional)

    Add the email of anyone you want to grant access to. They'll get a sign-up link and join with the role you select.

After the wizard

Finishing the wizard lands you on the dashboard home page. From here we recommend:

Re-running onboarding

You can't re-run the wizard, but everything it captured is editable:

  • Profile: Settings → Account → Profile
  • Theme: footer toggle on any page
  • Organization name & slug: Settings → Organization → General
  • Clubs: Settings → Organization → Clubs
  • Team: Settings → Organization → Members
